About me
I started irish dance when i was 11 in 2001, through Ballet Australasia doing exams and such. After moving to Darwin i joined the Rince Na h'Eireann team, We compete in the Eisteddford each year with traditional and choreographed dances.
So far i have been to only two Irish Dance workshops. One with the awsome David Moore and one down in Adelaide at the Adelaide Irish Dance Academy. Both were awsome and i learnt a lot. Though i have to say that i learnt more actual dances in Adelaide, but David taught us all better technique and worked on Ceili with us.
I love Japanese things and the Language.
What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:
I do Irish dancing and i like to sing some gaelic songs too.
Attempting to play the tin whistle i have is hard! hehe
How many years have you been playing/singing?
I have loved Japan and Anime etc.. for about the same time as i have done irish dancing
Favorite Music
Well on my ipod the only songs i listen to are my irish and japanese ones. One of my favourite cds though is Celtic Woman:The New Journey though i absolutly adore the tuens on Olive Hurley:Sets and Solos (All three). My favourite is the Glasgow Reel and Cathal McConnells(i had been hunting for this tune and now i have it yay).
Dancing School / Group
Rince Na h'Eireann
Dancing Level
Haha! I finally know my Level after going to Adelaide, Its Intermediate/Open. Although i have to wait to get graded out of the other sections...
How many years have you been Irish dancing?
Around 6-7 now
Favourite Irish dance Show
Well these are the ones i like: To Dance on the Moon, Spirit of the Dance, Riverdance, Dancing on Dangerous Ground, Magic of the Dance, Ragus,Feet of Flames, Gaelforce, LOTD, Gaelic Storm,Pure Imagination(School's 2005 production) and of course the ever spectacular Rythms of Ireland!

I love all shows that i see basically..lol
I love this about Irish Dancing:
Im very passionate about it. It makes me feel as light as air.
I love this about Irish Tradition:
The spontaneous outbursts of singing and Dancing! The music is so enthusiastic sounding which makes me always ready to dance!

(Either this year or next year, depends on Year 12 school work) I really like the steps and the movements in my reel, i finally have a dance with a revolution in it yay!! I… Continue

Workshop with David Moore!!

Today concluded the 5 day irish dance workshop with World Champion David Moore here in Darwin Australia. It was really good to hear what technique needs to be improved on and such, because unlike everywhere else in australia there are no feis or other competitions here. Except of coure for the Annual Eisteddford, but even then the adjudicators are not trained in irish dancing. We learnt a fair few Ceili, including the 8 hand jig, The gates of Dery and others. David was such a nice person and… Continue
