After another week long dance workshop im back in Darwin! This time the workshop was in Adelaide at the Adelaide Irish dance Academy. I learnt a bus load of new dances and steps, i also met heaps of other dancers (to be expected haha). Im hoping to now focus on perfecting my new open/int reel in preparation for my first Feis! Today concluded the 5 day irish dance workshop with World Champion David Moore here in Darwin Australia. It was really good to hear what technique needs to be improved on and such, because unlike everywhere else in australia there are no feis or other competitions here. Except of coure for the Annual Eisteddford, but even then the adjudicators are not trained in irish dancing. We learnt a fair few Ceili, including the 8 hand jig, The gates of Dery and others.
