About me: Hi everybody! My name is Becky and I am Paul's wife (planetpob, one of the diddlyi creators ... that would make Shane my brother-in-law (the other creator) ... aren't I lucky?!). Anyway, Paul and I live in Dublin together with our little dog, Honey. I work at a University here in Ireland and in my spare time I love to read, eat good food and then exercise (because of all of the good food I eat). I also love to travel so maybe I'll meet some diddlyi people soon when Paul and I are out promoting the site! Oh and, of course, I like Irish dancing too (i'm impressed by how skillful it is) but I think I'll stick to watching dancing because I've tried to dance myself and it's too difficult!

Favourite Irish dance Show: I'd have to say Riverdance (it may be the only one i've seen but i was impressed!)

i think ive been there but not completely sure, but i know people from there. yeah i know exactly what you are talking about, and it is COSI, i have been there many times :) I completely agree with you on the craziness of our names,from ohio, and with dublin relations. :) thats funny about your sister :) i have 3 sisters and 7 brothers and everyone gets us confused sometimes we are thought of twins. :P

Thank you Becky............I have just read your brother-in-law Andrew's page...... it sounds like he is the zany one in the family, he sounds a really fun guy..........the mcavinchey parents must be very proud of their 3 'boys'...........it's good to see that you and I are at a similar 'irish dancing' level...........lol..........back to Riverdance - it must have been a truly amazing experience for those who were lucky enough to have been at that original performance back in was it 1994...........I think ID and Ireland have so much to thank Michael Flatley for.............Bethany certainly aspires to be like Jean Butler............lol............myself and Bethany's parents are so proud of her and of what she has achieved in a such a short space of time........our lives and our home have been, it seems, completely taken over by 'Irish Dancing' and everything connected thereto..........GOOD LUCK to you and Paul and for everything you do together in the future.......love NA xx

Thank you so much for your lovely comment on my video of Bethnay playing at being 'Countess Cathleen'.......she has only been doing irish dancing 17 months, and has today won her 3rd U6 championship........she absolutely loves it. We are coming as a family on holiday to Ireland in August for two and a half weeks - we start in Dublin and have tickets for Riverdance at the Gaeity theatre on the 16th, we saw it advertised on DIDDLYI, thank you, it will be great for Beth to see it in it's City of origin.......we saw it in Oxford last year, and she was on the edge of her seat, feet tapping all of the time.......Please thank Paul, and Shane, for a great website.........Nanny Avril x

you might be intereseted to know, that am no longer fit to do irish dancing...I had an emergency operation done on my tailbone...so yeah...no more dancing for me for a while...
