Well, I returned hale, hearty, and somewhat sunburned from the AAIDT Gold Crown Feis. It was a truly lovely day in Smithville, NJ (USA). A light breeze caressed the leaves of the trees surrounding the small pond behind the stage, the sun shone and the dancers all looked lovely. It was well run, and a very positive experience for all. I'm betting that next year's will be even bigger, and that the competit…

I'm so excited. I got my conformation for the Colin Dunne Workshop. YEA!
I also set up a goal for myself. I want to get myself to a prizewinner/prelim by the end of the year.

Thanks for the welcome...and I love what I see on the AAIDT site...we too are going to join them...and look forward to a new experience in the world of Irish dance...in America.
I do not know how to work all of the diddlyi buttons...but hopefully will learn soon.
I would think many folks would love to know more about AAIDT...as I wasn't even aware of it until a few days ago...I would love to see it grow...and maybe even be part of the Olypics one day...
Thanks for your quick reply.
Cheers

I asked for a link to a voyforum for AAIDT...and you invited me here. I am thrilled to say the least that there is an alternative to Irish dancing in America. I believe that AAIDT will grow and be the vehicle that many will turn to in the future. I too believe the core values of AAIDT will go beyond what is best for all to keep the Irish dance alive in the United States. I hope to do as much as possible to see this association grow. I am thankful someone sent me the link ...I never knew an American association existed. Any information you can shed will greatly be appreciated. Looking forward to the 'wave of the future.
Hope
We celebrate it this evening
Peaceful days
