28 yo guy dying to find regular irish dancing class, I can only attend workshops far far away...
What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:
I am no musician, no singer and my neigbours are really happy about it... what they're less happy about: heavy beats when I practise solo dancing in my room!

First post ever!!!

Yeah, it's no joke! I don't do blogs, I mean what's the point? Too old for that anyway!!!!

If anyone is interested, I am an Irish Dancer, which I've already assumed, but you know it can be pretty tough to find decent classes? Especially in France where there are like... 4 certified teachers!

Do some of you guys have to travel a lot and spend huge amounts of money for a few hours of quality time and then feel frustrated on the way back? Well it's been my life for a year now, but…

Yeah, sharing a bungalow is a great idea. Hope I can come next year! I will try my best to get holidays for that week. ;-)
Our school is organising a camp too, but I can only attend at the weekend due work. So the same as you last weekend.

Thanks, Stan. I had a good flight back home. met the teachers at the airport! What a lovely suprise very early in the morning.
Anyway this week was so great! The best thing I ever did!!! Meeting all those lovely people, making new friends and having classes with such nice and amazing teachers.
You did do very well! Hope to see you next year again!

Doesn't look like I will be going to either of the AAIDT workshops.
Richard's will have a DVD with it so maybe they'll sell it later.
Recitals went fine and I got to do my competition dance in one of them.
Good comments afterwards, but I am shooting for perfection so I wished I had done even better. It was good, regardless.
Tyler (our best dancer) said it reminded him of Bernadette Flynn in Feet of Flames so that was nice of him to say so, and he's really good, so I feel somewhat validated.

That Richard Tews from AAIDT has some interesting videos on YouTube Rincesource. Some are easy but there are a couple that were harder to do so you might find those fun to do.
My teacher is taking the summer off but might do a workshop in August for 3 days.
I'm doing the video lesson and work on my own choreograpy thing, for the summer.

Yeah, guess what: I got the ok today to take the monday off work too, argh! I had to change flight and still have to organise some other things to be able to stay on day longer. Hope all will work out. Keep fingers crossed.

Ok !! enfin, avoir 2 grades c'est déjà ça !!! tu t'es arrêté combien de temps pour tes périostites !!! moi j'avais fait 2 sem d'arrêt et après c'était revenu mais pas dessuite... Olivia a eu aussi et elle a fait un truc qu'avait bien marché mais je sais plus trop quoi... :(
