About me: If there is a Singing Detective, I'm the Dancing Sailor ... I love the sea and Scottish/Irish dancing is a passion ...
I have a dear man, 2 daft kids and wicked cats ;-)

What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:: Since I like tall-ships so much, I guess I consider the Hornpipe my favourite dance ... both in Highland Dancing and Irish Dancing.
Not that I'm that good ... but I can't sit still and so I'm always tippy-tappying. So Irish Dancing is my thing, yep.
Love to sing, too. Used to sing in an English choir over here.

How many years have you been playing/singing?: I've had an interest in ships (tall ships) from since I was a kid. I took to Highland Dancing in the 90's; passed for my Associate and Members.

Favorite Music: All styles, really... as long as it's still recognisable as music. Mostly Irish dance music ...

I love this about Irish Dancing:: The variety of steps you can do! To be able to FLY across the stage!

thanks for the compliments... Sorry, dat we midden in de nacht stiekem zijn vertrokken maar jullie sliepen nog. Als je weer tijd hebt en zin hebt iets te ondernemen laat het weten en natuurlijk ook wanneer de lessen beginnen. Veel plezier in Praag!!! De wokshop wordt zeker tof;-)

Ik heb Ragus vorig jaar in Breda gezien. Maar ik heb al kaarten voor Magic of the Dance en voor LOTD, dus ook nog Ragus er bij, dat werd me wat teveel. Ik heb de dvd ook dus:P

Weet niet of je het al wist, maar Lord of the Dance komt naar Gent. 12,13 en 14 maart 2009. De 14de is nog niet in de verkoop, maar de 12e en 13e wel. En het gaat hard met kaartjes. Ze komen in het Capitole. Maar daarvoor ook shows in Antwerpen en Hasselt.

Ik ga in ieder geval de 13e. Heb al kaarten voor rij 9. Mocht je ook gaan, laat het even weten!

bedankt voor de uitnodiging voor de workshop. Ik heb zeker interesse want normaal ga ik maandelijks naar Rotterdam om me bij te schaven. Gent is minder ver en hoef ik niet al te vroeg op te staan. Jammer genoeg heb ik nog geen agenda dus is het te vroeg om te bevestigen. Het wordt wel dringend tijd dat ik terug oefen maar wegens vakantiemoeheid en andere bezigheden (gentse feesten en uilleann pipes) stel ik het alsmaar uit :-D
