About me: What to tell about myself? Can’t insert my whole life here or people will fall asleep in front of the pc.
Let’s start with the location: I am a Belgian by nationality and together with Sandra, I live near Berlin, Germany after a nearly half-yearly dance-stop in Dublin in 2005. Our Irish dance teacher is from London, and therefore the sight of the city with the tower-bridge is not unfamiliar. In the Netherlands, Irish dancers used to connect me with a green kilt.

What about me?
Many a person has called me a clown, and I am known for being late. The first excellent example of this statement is that 9 months were clearly not enough for me, so I waited a few more days before exploring the world from the outer side. While dancing I can be happy or upset that something doesn’t work out the way it is supposed to.

The fuel of my life is Dance and Music. Especially Irish and Scottish dance as well as music has turned my life all over … and I hope for an increase of this.

What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:: At the moment I am mainly concentrating on Irish dancing, but I practise Scottish Highland and Country dancing as well. I also play the Scottish Highland Bagpipe. For the future I would like to add the Uilliann Pipe to this list, though dancing is more urgent at my age.

How many years have you been Irish dancing?: i think since 1988, though that was ballet dancing.

I love this about Irish Dancing:: I love the mixture of lightness, the floating over the stage, and the strong, sharp movements. It’s beautiful to see, and a perfect way to relieve stress. The music gives even extra energy, and with all his adrenaline, it feels like you can outrun a puma ;-)

Fijn, fijn, ik wist niet wat Diddll... wathever, was maar nu ik het ken, best wel leuk. Met mijn dansen gaat het weer goed. Geniet er enorm van dat ik terug Iers kan dansen, we zijn nu vollop bezig met de hardshoes en dat is pas super. Ik volg ook nog flamenco-lessen al bijna drie jaar, en treed dan samen met mijn vriend (Spaanse ruiter) op in de groep Los amigos (www.los-amigos.be), vandaar dat ik byzonder weinig vrije tijd heb en je mij niet heel vaak op Diddly.... zal terugvinden. Maar ik zal mijn best doen. voorlopig geen competities, alleen Grades heb ik al gedaan en mijn First Grade is binnen (B+), nie slecht hé voor mijnen eersten keer? Allé tot nog eens en dansen maar......

Es war toll euch wieder bei uns zu haben! Den Abschied, jedenfalls, ist aber nicht für lange! Ihr Beiden sind selbstverständlich wieder beii uns willkommen: Aaike und Kristof werden soooo beschäftigt sein mit ... einander ...
Mann, Mann, ... das Sprechen geht mir doch ein Wenig besser!

ga je naar de salzburg feis volgende maand? Zo ja, dan zie ik je daar. Ga er een uitgebreid weekendje van maken, dus eerst een dag in salzburg rondkuieren en dan zaterdag de beentjes eens losgooien. Ik heb wel nog wat werk voor de boeg want ik doe zowel de beginner's dansen als de primary's. Och ja, ik heb een maand voorbereiding dus het zal voldoende moeten zijn.

Als je het niet erg vindt antwoord ik toch liever in het Nederlands, gewoon omdat mijn Engels niet zo enorm goed is.
Met mij is alles ok en met jou?
Voor de rest ja, druk he, zoals je zelf al zei Schotse en Ierse dan en universiteit.. best wel zwaar omdat ik daarbuiten ook nog wat werk enzo. Maar je zit nog een jaartje mis, na dit jaar begin ik pas aan mijn laatste jaar. Dan is het wel een stagejaar, maar ja, waarschijnlijk niet minder zwaar.
Zoals ik al tegen Sandra heb gezegd, ik denk wel dat ik me hier zal amuseren, ik moet enkel maar tijd hebben ;)
