Hey! yes it was great to see you!! and you're dancing so well! can't wait to see you back in paris, i hope next time we'll have more time to talk!
lots of love to my favorite spanish irish dancer ;)
All the people here: be careful with "Silvia Naylor Isaac" commentaries on this site. This is the translation of her rude opinions about a dancer. She wrote and posted this: "...You are not "intermediate", do not hallucinate. Besides stupid, You are a lyer." I think that this type of expressions are unsuitable in this site, and by themselves disqualifies their author. We must respect always each other. Dear Beth: do not pay the minimum attention to this bad mannered and bad educated young girl!
yeah, changed it again, thought I looked a bit retarded in the other one :p
I had antoher look at your reel. I really like it. You're definitely primary and that was last year. Are you going back to Sarah Clark's camp this summer?
And good luck with your exams of course! How did it go today? Mine went great, but still 10 more to go :(
Hi,
I've added you on msn. Well, I don't think it's necessary to take private lessons. The school in Brussels have classes of all levels. When I moved to Denmark last year, I found a school there and wasn't sure which group I should be in. So I just mailed the teachers and summed up the dances I knew and they told me what was best.
In my school there's a new group starting every year in september, so after christmas they usually know siege of ennis & walls of limerick( ceili) and the solo reel. maybe even the light jig. Depens on how fast the group progresses. This year's beginner's group will probably know the beginner's slip jig and single jig next year around christmas so maybe you could join them. or we have another group who'll start primary in september. I saw your reel on youtube and it looked really good. That was primary, right? Well, anyway you still have quite a lot of time to decide. On the other hand, you probably learn more when you take private lessons. You could always inform and see if it's ok with the teacher and how much money they ask for it.
We always have class saturday morning. We're thinking a little about changing it or having classes more often a week, but that's definetily not sure yet. If anything gets decided I'll let you know. And tapshowcompany has classes on sundays.
Hope this helps. Well, I should get back to studying now :(
Hi,
just a little correction of what I wrote to you before about the school in Brussels: tapshowcompany. I asked again and at least one of the teachers is TCRG and the 'students' do compete at feiseanna. Their school is acutally called dubh gall but they are part of the tapshowcompany or something like that I think.
I'm glad I could help!
I haven't been in Namur before, but I'm sure you'll have fun there. Always exciting to go somewhere new. I don't know how much you know about Belgium, but Namur is in the southern part of the country (where they speak french) and the dance schools I mentioned are all in the northern part (where they speak dutch but of course we also understand french and speak english). Unfortunately I've never heard of schools or groups in the south of Belgium close to Namur. And there definately isn't a TCRG over there. But well, it's not that Belgium is a big country :) It won't take that long by train from Namur to any of the schools.
Good luck with learning the new choreographies. I also took the first two grade exams a few weeks ago, here in Brussels.
