About me

I like Irish dance because it's fun, but I also find it interesting because it links me to my Irish ancestory.

What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:

I dance many things. The 4 hand reel and just recently the 4 hand jig. The haymaker's jig, bonfire reel, fairy reel and I've been learning several set dances.

Music/Singing School/Group

I'm in a class by itself.

Music/Singing Level

I could probably scare off the neighborhood cats.

How many years have you been playing/singing?

I don't play or sing, although I'm interested in playing an instrument.

Favorite Music

I don't tend to have any one favorate type of anything. I like all kinds of music, it just depends on my mood. I could probably more easily answer what my LEAST favorite music is than the other way around.

Dancing School / Group

I am taking lessons at the YWCA from two of the best instructors ever (in my opinion). I also take lessons at the Starry Plough pub.

Dancing Level

I believe I am probably considered intermediate.

How many years have you been Irish dancing?

4 years.

Favourite Irish dance Show

I don't usually go to Irish dance shows but I enjoyed the performace at the Starry Plough on St Patrick's Day.

I love this about Irish Dancing:

Irish dancing is fun, it's care free, light hearted, beautiful and great exercise.

I love this about Irish Tradition:

Just about every Irish tradition I have ever seen has been loads of fun.
