Still busy with holiday( = workshop) plans for this year.
Talk to you soon,
Andrea
hope you had a great Christmas.
A pitty it didn´t work out for you. Well there will be another chance on day, never give up. Haha dancing is not important enough. I remember once riverdance being on tour in Germany a few years ago without the Russian Dancers, cause there were problems with visas too.
Don´t worry about your hornpipe. Just practise, practise, practise... and it will get better. I learned a new one too. and I don´t think it is good yet, it will take it´s time.
I hope I will be able to come to the next workshop in March. I would love to come. Have some holidays left from this year to be taken by the end of march, - so I might doing some crazy things ;-) at the moment I´m checking the costs. Keep fingers crossed!
Happy new year and all the best for 2009!
Talk to ya soon,
Andrea
did you manage to go to Gärtingen? If so, how was it?
Have you seen the vidoe on this side about the feis, where they all dance together in a big circle? That looked like a big fun!
If it did not work out, well there will be another chance one day to try out competing.
Andrea
How are you? Good to hear I could help you a bit with my post.
How the things working out? Do you manage it to compete in Gärtingen? Did you already send your entries in? As I don´t know exactly how the WIDA- Comps are organisied ( I dance in another Organisation), but usually you have to send your entries in untill a certain date, mostly3-4 weeks before the feis. At least it is so in the oranisation I dance in. By the way I will compete at the end of the month too.
Hope everything works out with your papers.
Regards to Joanne.
Andrea
Sorry I answer so late. Had been quite busy last time. great your workshop was awesome.
With Joanne doing the competition I ment encourage her puiples to enter a competition and prepare them for it. I would not have think of doing one untill I joined my dance school and had been persuaded to compete.
How does it work out with your papers? Unfortunally I live too far away from Gärtingen. :-( It´s in the south of Germany and I live more in the middle. We won´t be able to meet each other then. Maybe next time. As for low cost airlines, I only found Air Berlin flying from Nice to Stuttgart. As from Marseille to Stuttgart I only found Lufthansa and Air France, which I suppose are more expensive.
Keep me updated about your competition plans.
Andrea
Como estas??'
ya he llegado a españa! XDDDD
Nos vemos en el proximo workshop?
adéu!!!!
=)

How was your workshop today? I think Joanne is right, I thought you would dance much longer than just a year. Your are a very good dancer, really. I never could have learned so much in such a short space of time.
Hey, you will start competing? I thought Joanne does not do competitons. Are you the only one from your class giong? Where in Germany and when will you compete? Hope it will work out with your papers.
I do love Breandans teaching aswell and love his dancing style. Maybe we can meet each other oneday to exchange what we did in our groups. He actually showed us some parts of your setdance( without music) in the last class. It looked very well and had some really difficult movements in it. His comment was: "That´s next year for you!"- Haha,I don´t think I will manage such complicated steps next year. But you never know what will happen ;-)
Have a nice evening and enjoy your workshop tomorrow.
Say hello to Joanne from me.
Talk to you soon,
Andrea
Have a lot of fun at the workshop this weekend. I would love to be there, but too far away. I will definitive come in summer. Maybe in march or may, but don´t know yet, if I can afford it from the financial side.
How is your dancing going? At the moment are autum hoildays in my dance school, but only for a week. I have learned a new slipjig recently and some of my old steps changed.
What setdance did Breandan do in your class? we did Youghal Harbour ( only step r and l, didn´t finished it). I finally found the music in the correct speed recently, so I can practise it.
Andrea
any news with your feising? :)
