Oh really! I thought they kept Senior the same! Hm... I will have to check in to that. My hornpipe is way better than my treble jig, so that would be great news for me...

That's awesome you did so well at Worlds! I've never done anything international, and even if I were qualified, I'm way too poor to go. Boo =(

I do go to a lot of different places for a feis, but usually between Canada and Pittsburgh. New England is a much further drive.

Ah 6 AM practice. My friend Morgan wakes up at 5 every morning and practices for an hour before school. She practices at least 4 hours a day. She only started that a few months ago and her improvement has been phenomenal. I really wish I could find enough time to do the same, but school is really killing me right now. Balancing dance and grad school is really rough, but I just can't stand to go without Irish Dance any longer!

Is Pender-Keady in New England? I can't remember. I generally stay out of that area. I went to a few this summer and they weren't much fun for me... I think it's a pretty political area. I'll look for your results though. =)

You're so lucky you're going to Worlds! Something I've always wanted to do, hehe. My teacher's pushing me to get out of Prelims so I can go to Nationals this year, but I really just don't know.

You're in senior ladies, right? I think you were in my competition at the Oireachtas. It does stay the same for Nationals right? I think they only switched it to SJ/TJ this year, but they're not going to switch it back, are they? I haven't really heard anything yet, but I'm assuming it's staying SJ/TJ for a few years.

I don't actually know Elizabeth personally, but Deirdre is the one that got me started at Young! She was helping Rachel teach the class at RIT and she offered to drive me to class once a week. It was lots of fun. I did kind of feel weird taking the ceili class at first (that was in 2005, actually), but it was a lot of fun. Then I stopped going to dance once Deirdre graduated because I had no way to get there. Now I'mm back and I love it.

The Film program at RIT is really intensive, yeah.... it's kind of like a great mind blast. But it's also a lot of fun, and the projects really make you feel accomplished.

Are you doing IT at Strong? They have a really great IT program at RIT, from what I hear.

What school did you start with when you were little? I only started when I was 14 and I started with Burke, which I loved. Young is a lot more low-key and relaxed, but our teachers let us personalize our steps to our own style, which is really nice. That was a huge no-no at Burke.

A friend of mine and I are thinking of adventuring up to Canada in February for Mary Woodgate, and I'd love to do the West Virginia feis since it's close to my family. I was 1 point away from my 3rd first place at my last feis, so I'm pretty determined to go to as many as possible. How about you?

Oh I LOVE RIT's dance studio. It's fantastic. One of my teachers has a class there for Irish Dance, so I get to go to that once a week too, it's a lot off fun (though it's mostly figures).

I'm studying film and animation. It's a lot of fun, but this quarter is going to make dancing rough. Hopefully I can keep going at least twice a week.

Have you always lived in the area?

Wow that IS a lot of driving! Young has 5 locations around the Rochester area, so I can dance up to five days a week. I usually only get to two right now, with all the schoolwork I have.

Yay for RIT! What did you study? I am in my first year of grad school there!

Wow Buffalo is pretty far to travel from South Wedge.

I live in Henrietta (on Winton). I go to the Young School, since it's nice and local, and not very big, which is kind of nice in the end. I only just started again this year after a 5 year break. =)

Do you go to school in the area?
