Whats the deal with girls getin so competitive @ a feis?

wat iz da deal wit girls pushin nd shuvin u to win @ a feis? every1 should dance 4 da fun not 4 da trophys! isnt dat why we all started dancin, to hav fun? dancers should b 1 gr8 big family not enemys! It is just pathetic!

I totaly agree with you. If i was a judge i would deduct a lot of points for such behaivour.
When we're waighting in line i always try to ask the person with who i have to dance which way theyr dance goes to see that we dont bump into eachother.

Most of the girls I compete with are really nice! But I've heard some not-so-nice stories. Just think of those mean girls as good examples of what NOT to be :)

yeah, I can understand that you're a bit competitive cause you want to move up in your dances, especially if there's not a feis very often. But omg, some girls definitely do exagerate! The whole pushing, standing right in front of the other person, getting way to close, ... I can barely watch others doing that. I'd probably freak out if I were on stage with such a person. It surely spoils all the fun and should be punished or so. Luckily I haven't come across too many of those girls either.

Hmmmm, I have to say it happened to me twice, and it was the terrible. The two girls were just trying to came in front of me, to turn around me so that I can't move... Duuhhhh, horrible.
But I think the judges notice such behaviours :) I got first at the two dances, muahaha :P

I have only met nice people at feises so far so maybe I'm lucky or I naturally avoid the over-competitive ones...
