I play piano & i occassionally pick up the tinwhistle.
& used to play flute, bassoon and guitar.

oh, it's so cool! fairylike :)
Only in the beginning, if you play for about half an hour or more during several days your fingers get sore and you might get blisters, but that's only at first. I haven't had any fingerproblems for years now.
You should take it up if you're really interested. Lots of welsh/irish tunes to play. They're not the hardest and the celtic harps are easier to transport and cheaper - though still quite expensive :(
At some point I'd like to learn to play the fiddle! I really love the instrument, it seems way harder than harp though. I'll probably be a nuisance to the entire neighbourhood at first, playing horribly out of tune :) But well, for now the harp is enough.
P.S. what's a bassoon? maybe I know the instrument, just not the english word. Have fun playing! :D

I'll ask my Mum about starting the harp... but I really want to learn to play the Bassoon again, and I'd have to buy one and they're £4000 :\ We'll see.

I was going to learn fiddle but then took up flute instead, one of my aunties plays fiddle, maybe i'll get her to teach me :)
