Diddlyi Irish Dance and Music

I just got a Maeve wig from Emerald Key! I've had the Nicole for the past year but I bought it before I began feising so I thought it would make me look like the younger girls in novice. Turns out I got out of novice in one feis, and was in prelims a few months after that! My little Nicole wig now seems way too small and childish with the tight shiny curls so I got myself a Maeve. The only problem is that now it seems gigantic! I know I just have to get used to it but I'm afraid I won't feel confident in it at the DeNogla feis...and I really want to start placing regularly. Is the Maeve too much wig for local feiseanna? How am I ever going to get used to it? Argh, the trials and tribulations of irish dancing.

I love my Maeve; I've been wearing it for about 2.5 years now. I do recommend wearing a wig "doughnut" or a sock under the wig to boost it up. It is somewhat long on the neck :)
