Laura Koch Salzburg-Feis 2008

Hey guys, yesterday was, as all of u probably know, Salzburg-Feis. It was so gr8 2 c u all again and to get to know new friends. Because I twisted while I was practising I got a torn ligament and couldn´t participate. I really felt sad because I looked so much forward to the Feis and I practised so much for it. But that´s life, u can´t change it....so I had no choice...I had to watch, which was btw not as funny as competing but it was okay. For the first time I wasn´t stressed and nervous and I… Continue

Richard Tew "Lord of The Dance" review

Flatley's step dancers descend on downtown. Once a year, Michael Flatley's “Lord of The Dance” comes to Jones Hall to entertain the throng of Flatley faithful that have grown to love his flashy style, machismo presence, and Hollywood flare. Although retired from the show as its principle dancer, Flatley remains at the helm, behind the scenes of his multi million dollar dance sensation. In traditional “good versus… Continue

I know lots of you have been busy inviting all your friends to Diddlyi. This is great, as the more we invite, the better Diddlyi gets! Morrigana I was stood up... by my dance teacher!

I have been taking private lessons on top of the many hours a week I already dance to try to improve my trebbels, and various other hard shoe techniques. I got to the studio right at 4:30pm on a Sunday when the lesson was scheduled and no one was there! The door was locked, there was no one around. This pissed me off a tad because I had come home from visiting friends out of town early in order to make it to dance. I also had someone else call me to make plans for that time but I turned them dow… Continue

Miranda Lucas Trying to dance with 3 baboons.....

Yes, baboons...aka Keegan, Conner, and Kalum. O.k so they are my kids not baboons but the line in thin :) My boys are aged 7, 5 and 3 and they make dancing on my own a trying process. More trying than it already is! When they aren't trying to run circles around me while I dance they are off getting onto trouble, and 3 boys can make alot of trouble in a very short period of time..believe me! I love my boys and as hard as it is to dance around them I wouldn't have it any other way....unless an Iri… Continue

Lee-San HI TO EVERYONE!!!

Hi Everybody!!! Thanks for your welcome greetings.. Mi Name is Lisandro and I'm an Irish Dancer from La Plata, which is the Capital City of the Province of Buenos Aires. As many young people here in Argentina, I've first heard about Irish Dances because of Lord of the Dance. In my english school some teachers organized a ' Lord of the Dance Festival' and I (who was 11 years old) played the part of Michael Flatley. hahaha. Thank's God that there is no tape of that festival. After that I wanted t… Continue

Morrigana very first journal...

I just wanted to write a comment (and try out this journal as well). I just wanted to say that my first impression of this site is that everyone is very nice and welcoming. I am also happy to find a large diversity in the age ranges of the people on the site. I am extatic to find Irish Dancers in my age group (20's) as well, as where I am from, there aren't very many 20 somethings who still take or compete in Irish dance. I have been a dancer for many years in other disciplines but I very recent… Continue

Leenke how I love the surgeon (NOT)

well it's been a while since I've been here. As I wrote in my previous post I'm not dancing at the moment. Since the last post I made here I had a mri-scan and it turned out that besides the cyst there was also another heap of excessive stuff (fortunately my lovely surgeon wasn't sure what that was).
