Yeah - it's performed by some friends of mine called Une Cartouche (or, sometimes, French For Cartridge). It's a bit like a brain exploding don't you think? I gave them the score and told them to play it without listening to anyone else do it - so i…

Music and Crowd Volume at Feisanna

Does anyone else think that it's a bit rude when there are dancers on stage and people around you are either talking or, worse still, decide to stand in front of you and chat away?

At the Feis at the weekend I was in the main hall and there was some top quality dancing happening, but so many people were just talking all the way through I started to feel angry.

I was wondering, as I strained to hear the dancers' beatwork, wether it would be worth while using instruments without amplification in… Continue

Let's Dance For Comic Relief, 7/03/09

Hi All,

Why not support Comic Relief this year by watching Let's Dance (Saturday 7th March, BBC 1, 7pm) and voting for your favourite dance performace? There has been some quality entertainment on thus far and I think we're in for some treats on Saturday.

Regards,

An impossible task.

So, what does someone witha really English name call his dancing school? I mean, Scoil Rince Bellwood sounds a bit clunky after all.

Answers on a postcard please.

Equally, how does one go about encouraging new pupils to learn when the local primary schools won't help advertise?

Any ideas welcome.

So, classes start again in January - here's to an exciting new year...

Lost piece of music.

OK - So the Bunnies are not going as well as planned and the tummy is still a little timid.

Also, I remeber hearing 'The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba' played as if it was a piece of trad dance music and was wonderig if a) anyone else had heard it and b) if anyone knew who performed it. I really want to find it again for this thing I might be doing.

Ok! So when you know the place where you are gonna stay, tell me something. And in which week of September will it be?

Well, if you're a friend of Shane I guess I could also introduce Lisbon to you :P Shane is also going on holidays on the first week of September, so you could talk with him. He liked to come here too, spend time on some beaches and to know Lisbon. Even if you don't come together, I could show you the city, if you want.

I can recommend you both the south of Portugal (Algarve) but that's a very crowdy place in this time of the year, full of turists and pretty much confusing. Lisbon is a nice city and we have beaches nearby, regarding you can get a car and someone to go with you there... So, what's your idea?

So, who are you? I saw your profile but you don't give many clues about yourself... Why did you came talking with me, just because of the country? :P

Very cool. I'm glad things went so well in Poland. Paul (that's Shane's brother) and I would love to come in July for the next installment.

Germany is good. I love Munich ... the German language is the challenge. I have to say that I really haven't been making too much of an effort, so it's my own fault!

Have a good weekend! :)
