I see. Wow, can't believe I never knew that! Only thing is, I've been looking them up and the terminology is confusing me ... can someone PLEASE tell me if a Light Double Jig is the same as a Light Jig ?

Of course you can - it`s just the matter, that they are currently not very common. Your TC has to apply for at CLRG in Dublin and has to organise everything. An examiner will be send over and that`s it.

In the syllybus for WIDA/NAIF the y list trad. set and Modern set. Where does one get steps for modern sets. I know the trad. ones being used are Olive Hurleys, but don't know where you find the modern versions.

29 yo guy dying to find regular irish dancing class, I can only attend workshops far far away...

What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:

I am no musician, no singer and my neigbours are really happy about it... what they're less happy about: heavy beats when I practise solo dancing in my room!

First post ever!!!

Yeah, it's no joke! I don't do blogs, I mean what's the point? Too old for that anyway!!!!

If anyone is interested, I am an Irish Dancer, which I've already assumed, but you know it can be pretty tough to find decent classes? Especially in France where there are like... 4 certified teachers!

Do some of you guys have to travel a lot and spend huge amounts of money for a few hours of quality time and then feel frustrated on the way back? Well it's been my life for a year now, but

I´m good. Dancing is going well too.
I´m sorry to hear you can´t take the exams this year, but it´s better to heal your knee first. There is still next year. I´m not taking the exams either as it´s too expencive to fly down three times a year.
Yes, I´m coming to the summer camp, the whole week. Can´t wait!! just seven weeks to go.

Are you gonna do a summercamp this year? I haven't really thought about it yet. I might go to the munich feis at the beginning of the holidays, but that's not sure yet.

Good 2 hear that ur doin well. Im not recovered yet, i mean i dont feel pain anymore its just the thing that i cant turn my foot in anymore as when my ligaments grow together again they kinda got 2 rilli heavily fixed so i cant move my foot anymore n that needs looooads of patience as i ve 2 stretch it very very carefully n that tks me kinda AGES :((
Hope at least ur doin far better than me haha ;-)
