Musician, Fan
About me
I am the person responsible for everything running smoothly here on Diddlyi. I am also the one that can put your ideas into action - so let me know, it is your community after all.
What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:
I have played the fiddle, tin whistle, bodhran and more ... but I never mastered anything! Since then I have taken up the guitar and I am not so bad at that.
Music/Singing Level
Keen amateur
Favorite Music
I like old rock music - Rolling Stones, Creedance Clearwater. And any new music that sounds like old rock music - Kings of Leon, Bright Eyes.
How many years have you been Irish dancing?
I have been pretending for many years
Favourite Irish Dance Show
I think it has to be Riverdance - seen it maybe a hundred times when I was working front of house on tour with them in the USA, but still sends shivers up my back.
I love this about Irish Tradition:
It feels good to have a real passion for it and the skill involved in Dancing and Music.

silvia(on a post before your last one): I agree that they should work on jsut practice steps and not just specific steps in dances! It would get the programs a lot more dancers and a lot more $$!
See if it was open to all people it should have some regulations: the dance school i am about to attend is only letting people who go to the school or who are planning to go to the school or who have permission from the dance instructor to attend ...
I danced on river barges at this year's St. Patrick's Day river parade. I think I have a pic, but no scanner. I'll see what I can get.

We filmed my video for the Elevation solo dress contest while in Ireland celebrating my graduation from college. We went to some wonderful places and would wait till the coast was clear to have me quickly dance a few steps. I think the strangest s...
