We invite you to start a journey to enjoy the melodies, songs and dances from other times and places, hoping that with our music, that "last pint" leave you a pleasant memory. Welcome and Ar Slainte!
The Last Pint was born in January 2008 in Valencia (Spain), by the meeting of friends interested in the interpretation of Celtic melodies. After some changes in the components and many hours of effort, we launched the first performances in various pubs of the city. Today we offer a wide and varied folk repertoire, accompanied by our Irish dancers. We hope you like our music! The Last Pint are:

Amanda: whistles, voice, dance, flute.
Asia: dance.

Irish Dance Workshop

The last Sunday our girls organized a beginners Céili workshop. The participants enjoyed it very much and learned a lot of dances (6 in three hours, a record!) We hope that we'll repeat the workshop very soon and succeed at extending the love for Irish dance in Valencia :)

Hi Amanda and Martin,
I can certainly understand your love for the mountains and forests. Many of the pictures on my page are at or near the mountain cottage that my parents built 50 years ago. We spend a lot of time there during the summer and love walking through the forests, seeing alpine meadows full of wild flowers and sitting by mountain streams. The cottage is about 4-5 hours by car and we feel very lucky to have so close. Hope you are having a good week.

Hi Amanda and the Last Pint!
I assumed you were one of the musicians, but you are actually one of the dancers. I guess your ceili workshop was your first one. What ceili dances did you teach? How many people did you have in your workshop? In our ceili class we have been working on the glencar and 8 hand reels. We have several performances to do on St. Patrick's day and we have been practicing a lot to make them look good. I have been doing some ceili teaching myself for some people at work. We are having a St. Patrick's day party at work and I am leading and teaching about 12 people some simple dances that we will show at the party. It has been fun teaching and helps improve my own dancing too.
I am sure Valencia is a beautiful city and I am sorry that we didn't have time to stop there 9 years ago. I love traveling in Europe and seeing the history and culture that you have. That is something we don't have too much of in this country. When we went to Barcelona we stayed outside of the city in one of the paradores (parador de Cardona) run by the Spanish government. It was in a 9th century medieval castle built on top of a hill. What a wonderful experience that was to sleep in a place like that! Do you have some favorite places in Spain that you like? Enjoy the rest of your weekend and your dancing!

Thanks for the friend invite! Your Ceili workshop looks like it was so much fun. I love ceili dancing and the social aspects of it. Do you ever dance yourself? It's great that you have included dancers in your group. It adds a lot to your performances. How often do you perform? Do you perform at other locations outside of Valencia? I have not been to Valencia, but passed by it about 9 years ago. We were doing a tour of Spain by rental car and stopped in Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Costa del Sol and Barcelona. We had planned a stop in Valencia, but because we were behind schedule we had to drive straight through from Granada to Barcelona. We had a lovely time in Spain enjoying the food, culture and people. Maybe someday we will get to Valencia and see you perform :) Your English is excellent by the way. I don't know Spanish (I studied
Chinese in college), but it is a language I would like to learn. There are many Spanish speaking people in our area and it would be good to know. Have a great weekend!

I love your music. It sounds like your group has made a lot of progress in 1 year! Is there a lot of interest in Irish music and dance in Valencia? Where did your dancers learn Irish dance? I wish you success with your group.
