About me
im young but i know great and powerful music when i hear it.
i play four different instruments(guitar, piano, trumpet, and the french horn). the group that got me into the whole irish thing is the high kings. i found them on pbs late one night and was just like...WOW! they blew me away! ive since then found a whole heap of traditional groups that i absolutly love. i love everything about ireland. from the landscape right down to the people. its where im destined to be i guess, but i just hav to wait a little while longer til im old enough to move there.
What Irish things do I play, dance, say, sing or other:
well i try to play music on the guitar but im kinda self taught soo im getting there...slowly but surly. i would love if anone had any basic songs to show me. i would really appriciate a good starting place.
Music/Singing School/Group
im in the band at my school...but i dont know if that counts for anything
Music/Singing Level
begginer i guess
How many years have you been playing/singing?

Favorite Music
everything...well except all that rap stuff. the main type of music that ive always been into is acoustic music. you can never go wrong with a good acoustic song.
my favorite groups right now are of corse the high kings, flogging molly,uhh...ronnie day...and alot more htat i cant think of right now.
I love this about Irish Tradition:
that mostly anyone who is irish are prous to say that there irish and not afraid to show it.

Ode - Arthur O'Shaughnessy

ive always heard this saying and never really knew where it came from so i looked it up. i fell in love with it and felt i should share with whoever is listening :] i think its basically saying if the world had no dreamers or inspiration we would have gotten nowhere...beautiful

We are the music makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams;—
World-losers and world-forsakers, 5
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and sh… Continue

for me it really depends on my mood. i like so many different types of music that it just depends on the day or the hour. sometimes i feel like listening to old school motown love songs.. sometimes i listen to beethoven because it relaxes me and clears my head... sometimes i listen to corny R&B cuz i'm a dork.... i find that i basically like anything that comes from the heart

hi there! :)
"Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. Great dancers are not great because of their technique, they are great because of their passion.

What kind of dog is he? We have a sheltie who we love very much too. Good luck on your finals, it will be over soon. I knew you had a hurricane, but didn't know you missed so much school because of it. Our daughter is taking US history, Spanish, Chemistry, business management and Pre-calc this semester. She is more involved in sports rather than the arts and has been on the volleyball, softball and tennis teams at school.
