These videos are fantastic! I am new to this website, and also quite new to irish dancing too. I started in May this year and in august I started dancing 3x a week as I’m currently preparing for next years Feis’s, State Champs, national champs and possibly the All-Irelands at the end of the year. Unfortunately, I have been suffering from shin splints. I stupidly practiced outside on our pavers in my hardshoes which, along with overusing my muscles just under my shin bone, has built up to these annoying splints! It would be great if anyone has any advice on how to deal with this. I have been to physio, but it hasn’t done much. I am trying ice them every day maybe about twice a day but if anyone else has/still suffers from this PLEASE reply back to this comment. I would have commented somewhere else but couldn’t exactly find a place to! Thank you 🙂
Hi Emily, I’m sorry to read that you’re suffering so badly from shin splints. Ouch!
