Diddlyi Irish Dance and Music

Like the supermarket for instance...

Since my daughter has started taking ID lessons, she feels the need to reel down the grocery aisle at our supermarket. Her favorite place is in frozen foods - I'm presuming it's because of the glass fronts of the freezers.

I had the "Irish upon me" the last time we went bowling a couple of weeks ago. It's hard not to want to treble reel when the floor is so suited for it, doncha think?

Time to confess...where are you dancing other than the studio?

Pretty much everywhere!
I like trebling under my desk when I am at work, I do tip steps in the aisle at the supermarket (sounds familiar?)
I practise twists in every room of the house... anyway since I got hooked on Irish Dancing, I can't stand STILL!!!

I always get in trouble in school for tapping my feet under my desk or at home when we are trying to watch tv !

probably under my desk in school...and also with my hands during the school lessons..and my friends often look at me and ask...what the hell are u doing there??
in supermarket really often..soo much place there *hehe*
at home..when I'm going to my room I make loads of leaps and turns..and twist yes..
I'm driving every Saturday from vienna to Salzburg for ID classes and we make some breaks in restaurants and on the car park..I remember my steps..nd jumping around..
Loads of peoples are looking at me...but no problem..I have to know my steps in class :)

I think it's normal for dancers to do this!! Maybe it is important cause of stage nervousnes...

I don't think it has anything to do with stage nervousness, at least not in our everyday life! We have irish dancing so deep in our system that it needs to get out eventually!

yeah but I mean..it's important to dance in supermarket..and everybody is watching u..u know...thats for stage nervousness...
Ohh I forgot I'm dancing actually when I sleep hehe...Sometimes I'm cicking the wall :)

Probably the weirdest place I've ever danced was my first irish dance performance in a horsestable surrounded by a bunch of Irish wolfhounds.

I basicly dance everywhere whenever possible. even when sitting in my car at the trafficlights. I also often do dances in my head when my mind wonders off.
I've also did a small 'performance' at the restaurant I worked in because I promised my manager I'd dance for her before I'd quit. I never had the chance to actually do it so when it was my last day I surprised her by doing a dance in a full restaurant

I dance absolutly EVERYWHERE!!!!
People think I'm so strange !!

The funniest was when I didn't feel like taking off my Hard shoes so I ended up walking around the mall in them ..I have never had so many strange looks in all my life!
