yeah, unfortunately that's where my knowledge of irish stops too. Well, I can also count till 10 and say "sit down and shut up" :D
I also have a phrasebook but it's hard if you can't hear how it's pronounced.

it's true! especially when you start! at least..from my italian point of view at the beginning there was a large difference between the way i pronounced and the way i wrote...then you start to understand what sounds the groups of letters give and it become easier! i hope i wrote something understandable ehehe!

of course it's understable. I totally agree. Well, I should start learning some basic stuff in irish. maybe during the summerholidays. I'll let you now :)
How come you actually started learning Gaelic? That's so cool! Didn't know it was possible in Italy. Is it a university degree?

unluckily there are no courses at universities where you can learn gaelic, it's only possible if you find a teacher randomly one morning in july, just like me ehehehe.he teaches english at the high school but he also knows gaelic and i study with him, i couldn't do it by myself indeed!

yeah, that's what I thought. I don't think u can study gaelic in mainland europe. Lucky you, that u found a personal teacher :) My dad unfortunately forgot most of his irish, but he's doing a course this summer. So I hope he'll teach me some stuff afterwards. jeej! Every time I go to Ireland, my family keeps telling me I should learn some basic vocabulary, so it's time I start listening :)
slán :)
