Take The Floor Irish Dance Show, now in its third year, is the original performance project of its kind, and you could be a part of it!
Directed and produced by Paula Goulding and Shane McAvinchey (yep, they are both Diddlyi Dance Masters), the show’s mission is to discover the next generation of Irish dance stars, develop their skills and give them the experience of a lifetime while creating a world class, full scale theatre production.
The entire production, with live music by Beoga, the fabulous Irish folk music group, is created in just 10 days after a challenging and thoroughly rewarding rehearsal period.
Dancers come together to inspire, explore and ignite an inner passion for dance performance through rehearsing and perfecting innovative dance creations from [a] star studded choreographic team.
The production is then performed in a series of live shows across Ireland with dancers being scouted by theatre companies and stage shows throughout the process.
Take the Floor is currently accepting applications for their 2014 show. If you’re passionate about dance and dream of becoming a performer, check out www.takethefloorshow2014.com for more information and get started on your application today!
